It's been a while since we last heard from London crooner Fe. Her darkly wafting trio of tracks 'Let It Go', 'Remarkable Affair' and 'Mother Russia' are still regulars on our stereo but it's a huge pleasure to find new music from her online this month. 'Daffodils of Paris' is a typically brooding slab of dark-pop from Fe. Debuted via Zane Lowe's superb Beats 1 show last week, 'Daffodils...' is a remarkably accomplished number punctuated by Fe's gooey vocals, industrial clanks of percussion and waves of washed-out synth. Time certainly hasn't blunted her knack for the cinematic. - DC
